The relationship between language, thinking, and social interaction is close and complex, making science a perfect context for fueling language development for both monolingual English-speakers and Dual-Language Learners (DLLs)—children learning English in addition to a primary home language. This presentation will introduce and illustrate several effective strategies for creating language/literacy rich science experiences that promote inclusion for all children in the Early Childhood science curriculum.
